Village Of South Walton

Walkability is a common feature that many people search for when choosing a vacation rental. The convenience of having restaurants, shops, entertainment, and of course the beach, all within walking distance is paramount to most when deciding where they want to stay. Lucky for you, the Village of South Walton checks all of these boxes. Nestled between Rosemary and Alys Beach, the Village of South Walton is a development in Seacrest Beach that has families and friends returning year after year.

The Village of South Walton is laid out in a horseshoe pattern surrounding a green space called the Peddlers Pavilion. This pavilion is surrounded by cottage styled shops promoting a sense of community and is a great place to rent a bike, drink a beer, and relax with friends. They frequently host live music and there are plenty of picnic tables for the whole family to enjoy a night out together. The first level of the village is made up of commercial spaces featuring some of the areas most popular restaurants like La Cocina, Grits and Grind, and Pizza by the Sea. In addition to restaurants, there is also a small market, souvenir shops, ice cream and cupcake stores, and other retailers that outline the perimeter of the pavilion. With everything needed directly below you, it is safe to say that one can park their car and leave it for the entire week!

Both of our vacation rentals at the Village of South Walton, 303E and 313D, are 3 bedroom, 2 bathroom properties. These are the perfect size for a family getaway or a couple’s retreat being that they can accommodate 6 and 7 people respectively. They each feature a balcony that overlooks the center pavilion and serves as a perfect place to enjoy your morning coffee or an evening cocktail. Both of these rentals are updated and nicely appointed to ensure you have a comfortable place to retreat after a sunny and activity filled day at the beach.

Other amenities include a seasonal beach tram to take you to and from the beach, a community pool, and of course easy access to the neighboring towns of Rosemary and Alys Beach. In addition to being home to many beloved shops and seasonal festivities, Rosemary Beach also hosts a farmers market every Sunday morning where you can find fresh produce, yummy local food and baked goods, and other artisanal treats. Walk the cobblestone paths, shaded by leafy green trees, and spend the afternoon shopping. Or, head the other direction and marvel at the modern and stunning architecture of Alys Beach. Stop at Charlie’s Donut truck for a treat and snap a picture at the iconic palm tree lined road on Highway 30A.

When you stay at the Village of South Walton it’s easy to hop right onto the bike path and take a short ride to explore more of what 30A has to offer. So what are you waiting for? Reserve your stay today!
