Ice Cream on 30A

You scream, I scream, we all scream for 30A ice cream!

Scenic Highway 30A might be known for its pristine sandy beaches and jeweled waves that glisten in the sun, but it is also home to some great ice cream spots. No matter where you’re hanging out on 30A, you can always find a chilled dessert waiting for you within walking distance. And there’s no better way to enjoy the beach and Florida heat than with a refreshing ice cream treat.

When you’re looking to cool down on a hot day, check out one (or more) of these popular ice cream spots.

Sunrise Ice Cream & Candy

Sunrise Ice Cream & Candy is a sweet shop located in 30A’s Gulf Place Town Center. The retro-style shop takes you back to simpler times – where kids could be kids and where candy and ice cream were the only things that mattered in life! Different ice cream flavors, milkshakes, candy classics, and even an arcade make Sunrise Ice Cream & Candy a fun establishment that the whole family can enjoy.

Sweet Stop 30A

Located in Gulf Place, Sweet Stop 30A is another sugary heaven that is bound to satisfy your sweet tooth. Here, you have a wide variety of chilled options to choose from, including frozen yogurt, shaved ice, and sorbet. And don’t forget to add your favorite toppings – after all, you’re on vacation, and vacation calories don’t count…right?

Blue Mountain Beach Creamery

Just down the road in Blue Mountain Beach, the Blue Mountain Beach Creamery serves artisanal ice cream, sorbet, and yogurt. Desserts are made daily at the creamery using the freshest of the fresh ingredients. Servings are large, and the waffle cones are the perfect way to enjoy your fresh treat. Savor your frozen snack from the available outdoor seating, or take it with you as you explore 30A and the beach.

The Candy Bar

The Candy Bar in WaterColor not only sells unique and one-of-a-kind candies, it also wows visitors with its ice cream creations. Their specialty ice cream is known as the Blob, and it is a must-try. This creation is made by rolling a huge ball of ice cream in colorful sprinkles, and it is served in a frozen, chocolate-dipped dish. If you want to taste this confectionary concoction, be sure to get there early, as they only serve a limited supply daily!

Heavenly’s Shortcakes & Ice Cream

Centrally located in charming Seaside, Heavenly’s Shortcakes & Ice Cream is exactly what you’d expect – a sugar-dusted heaven! Blue Bell ice cream and gelato are just the beginning of the sweet offerings here. This dessert parlor also has strawberry shortcakes, gooey cookies, and fudgy brownies. Whatever you decide to try, your taste buds are sure to thank you!

The Sugar Shak

You’ll find the Sugar Shak, which offers all kinds of sugary delights in the heart of beautiful Rosemary Beach. New candies to nostalgic, old-school candies stock the shelves. Cotton candy is available as well. And you will also enjoy the huge selection of ice cream and shaved ice, the perfect refreshing treat to take to the beach on a hot day.

Gelato Love

Need a little Italy in your life? You can get a (literal) taste of it at Gelato Love in Inlet Beach. Smooth, creamy, and delicious are just a few words that describe the delectable gelato served up in this must-visit establishment. From biscotti to pistachio to traditional strawberry, you’re going to have a hard time choosing which gelato to try first. Our advice to you – try them all!

Of course, this list is merely the beginning. There are even more places along 30A that serve ice cream – because we understand how important ice cream is to a beach vacation! Other places you might want to visit include:

  • Pecan Jacks (Gulf Place)
