Family-Friendly 30A

A stunning beachside location like 30A is bound to draw all types of visitors—including droves of party-going types. However, South Walton and 30A aren’t just for those who want to party on the beach; kids and kids-at-heart can also have a great time along 30A, on the beach and beyond! With this in mind, we put together a list of family-friendly 30A activities and destinations that you can enjoy during your time on 30A. Read on below to learn more!

Attractions, Activities, and More that the Whole Family Can Enjoy

Some of the best 30A Florida family friendly attractions are the beaches themselves. Here, both children and adults can spend hours swimming, surfing, kayaking, paddleboarding, and playing on the sand. Lessons and equipment rentals can be purchased from Rent Gear Here.

There are also a variety of state parks in the area, from Topsail Hill Preserve’s extensive trail network to the gorgeous grounds of Grayton Beach State Park and Deer Lake State Park. These parks also allow fishing, hiking, swimming, snorkeling, and wildlife watching on site, and feature some of the most beautiful and rare coastal dune lakes in the world. Camp Creek Lake near Seacrest Beach is the second largest coastal dune lake in the entire region of the Florida Panhandle.

Families can also rent bikes from local rental shop Rent Gear Here and head out on the Scenic 30A bike path, a nineteen mile-long path that riders can take to see unbelievable natural scenery and a variety of beachside towns in the area.

Between Seacrest Beach and Inlet Beach, families will find that Rosemary Beach has much to offer for their interests and entertainment. The town has a movement known as “Random Acts of Rosemary,” where local merchants and vendors surprise young children on the beach by bringing fun attractions and rides like bouncy houses and waterslides for them to play on.

Baytowne Adventure Zone at The Village of Baytowne Wharf in the Miramar Beach area of Sandestin (west of Dune Allen Beach) is another fantastic place for kids. Here, you and your kids can speed along on ziplines, jump and flip on the Euro Bungy, climb rope courses and rock climbing towers, and even play mini golf and control miniature tug boats! At night, you can see a spectacular fireworks show.

After all that running around, your kids are bound to get hungry. Take them to a kid-friendly restaurant like Barefoot Barbeque, Wild Bill’s Beach Dogs, Pickle’s Snack Station, or The Melt Down on 30A west of Seagrove Beach. Cowgirl Kitchen is just east of Seagrove Beach, and Pizza by the Sea in Seacrest Beach or Dune Allen Beach are also great choices.
