The timeless quality of life in South Walton and 30A has inspired many people to open antique shops, connecting the nostalgia of the past to the present day. Between Seaside and Seacrest, you’ll find The Vintage Cottage, which specializes in antique and custom furniture and décor. To the northeast, you’ll encounter Chic Euro Antiques, inspired the owners’ time spent in Brussels, Belgium for a number of years, during which they acquired a variety of European antiques.

Kathleen’s Kottage is a locally-owned antique store that offers unique items categorized as home décor, furnishings, jewelry, and seashells. The shop is located on Choctawatchee Bay, just northeast of Grayton Beach. Kitchen Garden Books is another vintage shop located nearby where visitors can purchase old books on the topics of cooking and gardening from as far back as pre-World War I.

Days Gone By is located in Grayton Beach, and is perfect for antiquing on 30a. A historic town that has retained much of its funky personality and has resisted changing into too much of a modern town. Lily Pads and Brooks Manor Antiques are also located in Grayton Beach.

For a larger variety of antique shopping on 30a, you can head westward for about half an hour down 30A to Destin, where Smith’s Antiques and Interiors Market operates one of the largest indoor antique malls in the country. The antique mall has been voted “Best on the Emerald Coast” by readers of Emerald Coast Magazine, “Best in Destin,” and “Finest on the Emerald Coast,” with additional shout-outs in Southern Accents Magazine, Country Living, and Southern ladies Journal.

Seaside, already a picture-perfect town straight out of a movie—no, really; the adorable town was the setting of the 1998 film The Truman Show starring Jim Carrey—is also home to a number of antique boutiques. Stop by Casa Costa, Fernleigh, and Keramikos.

Other great antique shops in the area include French Antiques in Seacrest Beach, Bayou Arts and Antiques, The Ole Outpost, Summer House Village Antiques in Inlet Beach, and “S” House Antiques.
