Recharge in South Walton

Beach vacations are all about relaxing, and that is exactly what South Walton has to offer. From Miramar Beach to Inlet Beach on 30A, you’ll find plenty of ways to recharge. Check out our list of ways to recharge in South Walton to help plan your Emerald Coast vacation.

Beach

Obviously, the number one way to recharge while vacationing on 30A is by visiting the beach. With smooth white sand and waves that glitter like jewels, you won’t find better beaches anywhere else! There are countless ways to enjoy this beautiful coastline. Catch an early morning sunset with your honey, or go on a romantic beach walk at sunset. Lay a towel on the sand and bask in the Florida sun. Bring your favorite book to read under a colorful umbrella. Take a saltwater dip in the warm waves. Go for a run on the soft sand. Build a sandcastle with the kids. It doesn’t matter if your idea of relaxing is being active or doing nothing—you can do it at the beach!

Spa

Everyone knows that spas are great places to recharge. That’s the whole point of a spa, after all! South Walton is home to a variety of spas, making it easy for you to treat yourself. Get a full day of pampering with a massage, facial, moisturizing body treatment, nail care, microdermabrasion, and more. Some spas even offer champagne and chocolate! A list of well-loved spas in South Walton include: WaterColor Inn Spa, Vivo Spa and Salon, Fusion Spa Salon, Serenity by the Sea Spa, Beach Ready Spa and Salon, Surfside Spa, Ocean Elements Day Spa, Spa98, and others.

Water Activities

When at the beach, spending time in and on the water is a must. And, for many, water activities are the best way to recharge. Grab your snorkel and flippers, and explore the world beneath the Gulf waves. Stay close to the shore, head out to deeper waters, or check out the artificial reefs and sea life. Paddle boards and kayaks, which are great for skimming on the Gulf or South Walton’s glassy dune lakes, can be rented from multiple shops on the coast. If you’re looking for something a more chill, take a “me day” and spend time fishing at one of the lakes. Or, rent a charter boat to take you on Choctawhatchee Bay or the Gulf. Of course, you may want to try out every one of these activities for maximum recharging!

Outdoor/Nature Activities

Even though the Emerald Coast offers plenty to do on the water, there is also tons of fun to be had on land. South Walton features miles of winding nature trails, as well as multiple state parks. The nature trails extend throughout the 30A beach towns and are easily accessible from vacation rentals. State parks also include peaceful trails that meander through the various ecosystems of the Emerald Coast. Parks include: Deer Lake State Park, Grayton Beach State Park, Point Washington State Forest, Topsail Hill Preserve State Park, and Eden Gardens State Park. Biking, hiking, and camping (in and outside of the state parks) are all great ways to enjoy this Northwest Florida environment. Keep your eye out for indigenous flora such as longleaf pines and live oaks, and native animals like ospreys and laughing gulls.
