30A Yoga

If you’re like most people, you come to the beach to relax. Sitting out in the sun, playing in the sand, and even taking long walks at sunset are a great way to take the edge off, and they all take place outside! But what if the peace you seek is inside? Not so much in your car, not indoors, but inside yourself. To add this calming feature to your vacation, you could simply bring your own mat to the beach and downward dog till the sun goes down, concurrently you could visit one of our area’s most awesome yoga studios. Don’t lose your chill, they are still reasonably close to our pristine white sands. So here, presented for your own clarity and calm mind, are our top picks for the best yoga studios in town, sit down and stretch a spell.

Sofitco

2166 W Co Highway 30A Suite E

Santa Rosa Beach, FL 32459

850-660-6670

Here’s the place for your day/week/monthly Yoga needs. Sofitco is powered by Nahi Wellnes – they are here to help you grow through Yoga and meditation in an effort to help you find a deep peace within. They also feature a large hardwood floor under a wall of south-facing windows for a studio that has plenty of room to stretch out and sunlight for your soul. Located in the heart of 30A, directly on 30A and just West of Old Blue Mountain Beach Road, 3 Namasté’s North of the beach, Sofitco is the new kid on the block with a real chill, family mood.

Studio Thirty A

2052 W Co Highway 30A R201

Santa Rosa Beach, FL 32459

850-359-2727

Just East of Old Blue Mountain Beach Road (and coincidently barely one Namasté East of Sofitco) we have Studio Thirty A. This beautiful studio sits high above the ever delicious Red Fish Taco (ed. suggest pairing the Stink Juice daiquiri apré yoga) in a tall, grand second floor, turret room. 360 Degree 12 foot, floor-to-ceiling windows surround lucky visitors, bathed in sunlight. The vibe here is raised, accented by the instructors; you’ll feel comfortable here. Classes are available for all levels and the schedule is seasonal, so be sure to check the site, book early, and enjoy.

Otium

12805 US Hwy 98 East L101

Inlet Beach, FL 32413

850-909-0141

Otium is more than a studio, Otium is everything yoga. Otium’s studio footprint is clean and simple, the space is far and away the most well laid out and well accessorized of any in the Southeast United States, and that may be an understatement. State of the art yoga accouterment, carefully designed into every nook and cranny of the studio, pours out creatively into the shop side and entranceway. Here one can find a curiously well-curated plethora of international yoga gear, clothing, and more. Otium’s gestalt is catching on. The most recent new Otium opened in Savanna, GA. Should you choose to franchise your own studio, all the info is right on their website. You can find Otium on HWY 98 in the 30Avenue shopping center at the far East side of South Walton and barely one Namasté from 30A.

Grayton Beach Yoga

109 Central Square

Seaside, FL 32459

850-231-4220

This is a list of 30A yoga studios, right? Therefore and consequently, no 30A list would be complete without at least one mention of the Classic American Beach Town of Seaside. And it is here on the hallowed ground of the Seaside Amphitheater that we find Grayton Beach Yoga, GBY! Offering “yoga for generations” GBY is all outdoor, so you’ll need to check the website and the weather, but wait, it’s in Seaside where only very rarely rains, so you should clear for stretch-out most of the time. Giant fans, water, and mats are all provided in the price of admission, all you really need to bring is your sun salutation. Just two Namasté’s from the best beach in town. Come for the yoga, stay for the New Urbanism, it’s a thing, Google it.

Yoga Haus

3906 US Highway 98 West, Unit #1

Santa Rosa Beach, FL 32459

850-420-1218

The Yoga Haus offers the best of both yoga worlds. Their spacious studio is beautiful and so conveniently located right on the Northside of HWY 98, nearly two, say 1.5 Namasté’s East of the SRB Post Office. They also meet on the beach for that added South Walton out-doorsy jam that’s so popular with the yogi’s these days. Private and group instruction are provided at both locations. Locals love it here, that translates to a warm, friendly, supportive environment for all.

Now that you know where to Namasté, you can figure out where Yahwannasté, lol. Rivard by Ocean Reef Vacation Rentals offers numerous locations to lay down your yoga mat – many are less than one Namasté away from the afore suggested locations. One Namasté is approximately the time it takes the editor to slowly say Namasté while walking, and really think about it deeply, or about +/- 100 feet. Remember, as Mae West once said: “Take it easy, you’ll last longer.
