30A Spring Break Daily Bucket List

Warmer weather is finally on its way and soon Spring Break will be amongst us. You’ve worked hard these first few weeks of the year and now it’s time for you to head to the beach for some a much-deserved vacation. We’ve compiled the ultimate 30A daily Spring Break bucket list for you and your family to make sure your time here in sunny South Walton is nothing short of spectacular.

Day One

Okay, so you just arrived into town. You’re probably tired from a long day of traveling and the last thing you want to do is spend time cooking or corralling everyone together back into the car to go to a restaurant. The solution? Order a pizza from Brozinni’s in Seagrove. Brozinni’s makes massive, delicious, 20” pizzas with any combination of toppings you could think of. The best part is they deliver, so all you have to do is sit back and relax while waiting for the doorbell to ring. Take in the first of many beach sunsets you’re about to enjoy and get a good night’s sleep for the fun week ahead.

Day Two

See all the sights when you bike the Timpoochee Trail. Pass by forests, lakes, the beach, and more when you rent a bike and ride the 19-mile bike trail connecting Rosemary Beach to Dune Allen Beach. Start with a hot cup of coffee at Amavida Coffee in Rosemary, stop at Charlie’s Donut truck in Alys for a sweet breakfast treat, and then continue on and grab lunch at The Red Bar in Grayton Beach. We’d be impressed if you’ve made it this far, but if you think you can keep going stop and cool down with ice cream from The Blue Mountain Creamery in Blue Mountain Beach. Bike a few more miles and reward yourself with a cold beer at Growler Garage in Santa Rosa Beach. The salty breeze and stunning views will be plentiful and never-ending during your active day eating your way down 30A.

Day Three

Visit Watersound for a fun family night at The Hub. Dubbed the Greatest Backyard Party of All Time, the Hub is an outdoor gathering spot for families, neighbors, and friends. A variety of restaurants surround a green space with plenty of seating and a stage up front. There’s almost always live music to enjoy and dancing to be had at night on the weekends. If it’s Wednesday night it’s family movie night! Bring a blanket, get some ice cream from Mr. Freeze, and watch a movie on the jumbotron.

Day Four

Ready for a beach day? When you’ve had enough time soaking up the sun from the sandy shore and are ready for a water adventure rent a paddleboard or a kayak and get in the gulf! Paddle out far enough and you may be lucky enough to see a sea turtle or dolphins swimming around you. Or maybe you want to be on the water while staying dry. In that case, hit Grayton Beach State Park and rent a canoe. Bring your fishing pole and see if you get a bite in Western Lake, one of our rare coastal dune lakes found in very few other locations around the world.

Day Five

Shop til you drop in Seaside. This iconic town is filled with fun artisanal shops of all kinds, walkable outdoor spaces, award-winning restaurants, and picturesque landscapes. Grab lunch from airstream row, our beach version of food trucks. From crepes to barbecue, to hotdogs with all the fixins’, there will be something to please even the pickiest eater. Seaside always has a bustling atmosphere and frequently hosts events on their grassy, green amphitheater. Enjoy the farmers market on weekend mornings, and concerts and movies at night.

Day Six

Pick up today’s fresh catch from Goatfeathers Seafood market and fire up the grill for a home cooked seafood feast. Whether you fancy fresh gulf grouper, shrimp, scallops, or even crab legs, Goatfeathers has it all. Stop at Publix for side dishes, drinks, and something sweet for dessert and dazzle your family with your culinary skills. Sometimes there’s just nothing better than a home cooked meal, and since you cooked that means someone else has to do the dishes, right?

Day Seven

End your trip with a beach bonfire. There are multiple companies in the area who can set up a beach bonfire for you and your group. Rent Gear Here even offers the option of catering dinner and you can add on a low country boil, hamburgers, and hot dogs, or simply just s’mores. Take in a beautiful beach sunset while sitting around a campfire on the sand and spend the night reflecting on the great memories made with each other. This is the perfect ending to a family trip that everyone will be talking about for years to come.

Trying new local restaurants is one of the most rewarding parts about vacation.
